The 1960 Dodge Phoenix Convertible is a true classic and a true American muscle car. As a classic car enthusiast, it’s a vehicle that holds a special place in my heart. The bold styling, sleek lines, and luxurious features of this car are truly something to behold.
Originally red with a black top, this car was repainted charcoal metallic, a factory 1960 Dodge color. The car was kept as built with a 318 2BL V8 engine with the TorqueFlite transmission, radio, heater and power steering and brakes. It was upgraded with air conditioning, deluxe wheel covers, clock, and bumper guards. Steering wheel is original to the car, un-restored with the original horn bar paint.
One of the things that sets the 1960 Dodge Phoenix Convertible apart from other cars of the era is its powerful 361 cubic-inch V8 engine. This powerful engine provides plenty of power and torque, making it a true thrill to drive. The car is also equipped with a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, which provides smooth and seamless shifting.
The interior of the 1960 Dodge Phoenix Convertible is just as impressive as the exterior. The car is outfitted with luxurious leather seats and a host of other high-end features, such as air conditioning and power windows. The dash is also beautifully designed and features a full array of gauges and controls.
The 1960 Dodge Phoenix Convertible also features a stunning convertible top that can be easily raised and lowered, allowing you to enjoy the open air while you’re on the road. The top is also made with high-quality materials and is built to last.
What makes the 1960 Dodge Phoenix Convertible stand out from other convertibles of the era is its sleek, aerodynamic design. The Phoenix was one of the first Dodge models to feature a “unibody” construction, which gave it a more streamlined look and improved handling. Additionally, the Phoenix was also the first Dodge model to feature a “Ram Induction” system, which improved the car’s performance and gave it a distinctive sound.
In summary, the 1960 Dodge Phoenix Convertible is a true classic car that should be treasured by any enthusiast. It’s a car that is built to last, and one that will provide many years of driving enjoyment. Whether you’re a collector or just someone who loves to drive, this car is sure to please. It’s a perfect blend of style, power, and luxury, a true American muscle car. With its unique design, powerful engine, and luxurious features, the Dodge Phoenix Convertible is a car that is sure to turn heads and make a statement on the road.
